Anna has been a member of the team at Coonrod Financial Group for 5 years now but brings with her over 21 years of experience as a financial advisor in the Springfield area. Anna’s strong love for numbers began as a child when her mother would challenge her while out shopping of who could calculate discounted prices more quickly. Her mother also taught her how to balance a checkbook at the age of 12 and talked about the importance of saving money and never spending more than you earn. These are just examples of those fond memories that laid the path to her future in the financial services industry.
Anna entered into the financial services industry when a friend took her aside and told her that her love for people and her love for numbers and budgets had a place for her other than what her current employment position was at the time. She began studying for her licensing and in 2000 officially entered the world of finance as an Advisor. Anna had an extraordinary mentor during her first two years in the industry that taught her a manner of helping people that far exceeded that of her peers. She thanks him to this day and cares not just about helping to create wealth for people, but teaches how to approach wealth building every step of the way.
Three months out of the year, Anna coaches cross country and track at Jefferson Middle School in Springfield. She has done this for 21 years which, can make for a tricky schedule at times but the rewards in helping these kids far exceed the difficulty in keeping up with the schedule. Through the years she and her husband have mentored several students along the way, some of whom are now considered part of their extended family.
Anna is the mother of a beautiful red headed little girl and was married in Iceland in 2011 after she and her husband fell in love with the country on a prior vacation. The family loves to travel, hike, picnic, and they love to go to the theatre.
